About Me

Hi, I’m Pragya! I’m 24 years old, and I’m the creator of PK Plant Plates, a blog that gives you a multitude of vegan and vegetarian recipes to choose from, without needing to sacrifice the flavors of your favorite foods.

My passion for cooking began in 2020. I was bored at home, and I couldn’t participate in my favorite activity (going to restaurants and trying new foods). I decided to try cooking on my own, so that I could still try new foods. Little did I know that this would lead to my love of trying and coming up with new recipes, and that I would start a recipe blog and post recipe videos online. I have been vegetarian for most of my life (and fully plant-based for three years in between), and I still lean heavily toward plant-based eating, so I’ll be posting lots of dairy-free and eggless recipes. One of my goals is to deliver delicious vegan and vegetarian recipes to you all, since finding good plant-based meals is something a lot of people struggle with. I love any type of Asian food, so you’ll probably find a lot of that on here! In addition to creating my own recipes from scratch, I like recreating delicious dishes I’ve had at restaurants, while adding my own twist.

Other than using my imagination to come up with innovative recipes, my interests include painting, drawing, cake decorating, crocheting, dancing, going to concerts, and traveling. Baking is something I still struggle with sometimes since it involves more precision than cooking, but I definitely want to improve my baking skills and bring you all along for the journey!
